Cafe on 43 in Wembley is a casual local spot where the focus is as much on the atmosphere as it is on the food. This café offers a range of hearty comfort options like classic burgers, chicken fingers, and fish and chips alongside lighter fare such as sandwiches and soups. The menu blends familiar café staples with some unexpected touches, like the “Jurassic Burger,” which hints at a playful vibe tied to the nearby dinosaur museum.

The space itself leans into a relaxed, family-friendly environment. The outdoor patio is a standout feature, especially for parents eager to keep an eye on kids playing just steps away in the playground. This setup encourages a laid-back weekend lunch or a casual coffee break with the community.

Visitors tend to appreciate the attentive, accommodating service, especially for those with dietary considerations. The staff often check in during meals, which adds a level of personal care that’s not always common in small-town cafés. Service can get a bit slower during busier dinner hours, but friendliness remains consistent throughout the day.

Locals might swing by for a quick sandwich or soup during lunch or linger over lattes on the patio, soaking up the afternoon sun while watching kids play or catching up with friends. The homemade bread shines in their sandwiches, adding a homely, fresh element to the menu. For those craving something more substantial, entrees like the garlic parmesan pasta or teriyaki chicken stir fry provide wholesome options without the fuss.

While pricing skews a little higher than some might expect, the quality of fries and the range of menu items offer enough variety to suit different preferences. The café’s adjacency to a dinosaur museum adds a unique local flavor, making it a convenient stop for families or visitors exploring Wembley.

Overall, Cafe on 43 works well for anyone looking to balance a comfortable spot for casual dining with a glimpse of small-town charm. Early afternoons or quieter weekdays might be the best time to visit for those wanting a peaceful seat on the patio, while weekends bring out the active, lively energy of families and groups making the most of the playground and the café’s friendly atmosphere.

Super careful with allergies and so understanding. They took the time to talk to me and checked in with how i was liking the food. Would highly recommend coming here!

The food is good, albeit a bit overpriced. Fries were amazing across the board. Even the hashbrowns were done well. Fish and chips were nice, though definitely like large fishsticks. The coleslaw was tangy and a welcome addition. Egg salad sandwhich was a big bland with only s&p seasoned eggs and a bit of lettuce. Needed mustard or pickles or something like that. The brown bread was soft and fluffy though. The Buffalo chicken sandwhich had great sauce and a homemade bun which was lovely. The breakfast sandwhich was also good with a homemade bun. Coffee was strong, which is nice. The service was a bit slow but I think maybe we came just before the start of the second servers shift. (1130 am sunday). But the service we got was polite and friendly. Loved the decor and huge windows.

Really great food, a decent variety, and fast friendly service. We went for both lunch and dinner. During dinner it was quite a bit busier and service did suffer a bit, but they were really friendly and accommodating to our group. The atmosphere is amazing, really nicely decorated, the patio is great right next to the playground where you can keep an eye on your kids. Even if you don't have time for the museum, awesome place to get some good food pretty quickly. Oh, definitely ask if they're serving the deep fried Oreos- did not disappoint!

Had lattes on the patio overlooking the playground. Menu looked like a great lunch stop. Awesome place to stretch your legs and have lunch and is attached to a cool dinosaur museum.

Great food, friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. This isn't your usual museum cafe. This has a nice variety of homemade items. I would recommend eating here even if you aren't touring the museum.

Great lunch. Ordered the soup of the day and BLT. Good amount of food and was delicious. Nice atmosphere, just the right amount of busy. It was a nice break from the hot outdoors with a cool dinosaur theme
